Chrissy & Mr. Jones Recap

When we last seen Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones, Chrissy was riding high off of the engagement ring she received from her beau of eight years.

The way she stressed throughout the season on Love & Hip Hop, you would have assumed she would have had one of many fittings with Vera Wang.

Well with this series opener we are seen a very unsure Chrissy. Her and Jim are packing to move out of their home in six days. Problem is they haven't found a house to move to nor have they began to pack. So they are truly packing to move nowhere lol!

Chrissy seems to be trying to find where she fits in. She wants her independence but she also wants that security knowing Jimmy will do the right thing on his own, without coaching or guidance.

Jim's attitude is VERY laid back and non chalant and for that it stresses Chrissy. This episode was more arguing than loving and it displayed why Chrissy wouldn't be so eager to walk down the aisle.

Mama Jones also made an appearance providing her comedic relief along with plots and plan for her next hustle.

Her drama on this episode is that she doesn't think she owes the producer of her song "Psychotic Bitch" any money since it was her idea and the producer was a family friend, whereas he thinks otherwise and when he requests the money Mama Jones gets angry equipped with a baseball bat and kicks him out of her home.  One thing for sure is Mama don't take no junk!

I enjoyed the show and it was interesting to see Chrissy in such a vulnerable light but still a cute show so I will be tuning in to yet another reality show!

Iyanla, Fix My Life

I have ALWAYS been a fan of Iyanla Vanzant so me tuning in for her series premiere on Oprah's OWN network was a no brainer because I knew she was going to keep it 100 and she would be expecting the same for her guest.

The series opens with her interviewing reality star, Evelyn Lozada and this would be a two part series where Iyanla spoke with Evelyn four weeks after her wedding to Chad Johnson and two weeks after the infamous head butt incident.

I can't lie I was really skeptical about this because I felt it was a publicity stunt BUT after watching the first part I felt otherwise.

Iyanla made Evelyn take responsibility for her inappropriate behavior towards her cast mates that was explained to her why she was a lose cannon and furthermore how she never stood a chance in having a healthy marriage.

Iyanla attempted to break Evelyn down to make her take FULL responsibility for all of her actions. I will say Evelyn was half way there but she was still holding back even AFTER revealing she's still harboring the anger and rejection resulting in her estranged relationship with her father.

Personally if she would have came in a tee shirt and sweats I would have truly been able to sympathize with her but she came looking like a million bucks and to all the battered woman in the world that was a bit insulting.

The million dollar question was why now after finding out Chad had been allegedly cheating and had been abusive in the past that enough was enough and the only answer Evelyn could give was that now there was a scar it almost seem like her ego/pride was hurt more than her forehead.

Ultimately, this interview is a step in the right direction but the only way to be cured in Evelyn's case is to confront her inner demons and accept responsibility FULLY or this will be a pattern to be repeated because she's made a pattern of being able to be brought; a lifestyle that she almost signed a deal with the devil to keep. I wish Evelyn well and hopes she continues her therapy to finally obtain self love and peace of mind.

I just started watching the show but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Eva is the star of the show but not in a egotistical way. It is interesting to see four female friends show vulnerability while being followed by a camera. I think the formula for the show will work because of the diverse personalities. This episode was about Eva seeking work on a sitcom but battling with what hair color is more marketable for her, the platinum blonde we have all grove to love or basic brown and Dramatic Dennyce  or DD <-- my nickname for her lol!

Another  notable mention was the the party at Terrell Owens ( nice to see him getting a check since his financial woes have been the topic of discussion when mentioned) who was a guest on this episode because Nikki decorated his LA apartment. Well Dennyce and him have some unfinished business that definitely needed closure. Clearly they had a falling out and ended the friendship but Dennyce just never got the memo. She was embarrassing to say the least but it was truly lack of better judgement for either Nikki or Eva thinking any good would come of Dennyce attending when she clearly said she didn't wanna be there. I will add Dennyce brings the drama. She doesn't bite her tongue and in some cases this is a gift and a curse ESPECIALLY in the entertainment industry.

I truly enjoyed watching  but i need to know more about Nikki, Dennyce and Kelly but nonetheless  Kisha will be tuning in next Monday so you know I will be writing about the reality tv shenanigans that will be taking place with the girls.

A lot of times you hear people say how their friend did them wrong but honestly if that person was truly a friend that type of thing would have never occurred. A FRIEND does NOT lie,backstab or betray you. Friends are there for you always not just when it's convenient and are trustworthy people who have integrity. Often times people call associates "friends" and that's where the problem lies because there is a BIG difference between the two. Stop giving associates/acquaintances the prestigious title of friend. Remember everybody wants to be a friend but everybody isn't really capable of actually being one.

Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Season Synopsis

This season us the public got to sit down weekly and watch dysfunction,chaos and confusion. These people were the butt of many jokes many times I truly didn't know whether to laugh or cry because something's were just too much.

Lil Scrappy was torn between his daughters mother, Erica and bootylicious Shay. This whole season we watched him go back and forth between two women. He was truly torn between good and evil and his mom didn't help the situation either because instead of promoting a healthy monogamous relationship she encouraged a playa's lifestyle.

Stevie J spent the shows season playing his daughter's mother, Mimi and his chick on the side /protege Joseline. He truly had his cake and ate it too and initially viewers felt sorry for Mimi but that later changed because people couldn't understand why a beautiful woman would allow a man to demean her every week. Joseline turned her negative into a positive by simply playing Stevie's game but according to her rules. She played when necessary and on her terms.

The show touched on domestic violence as aspiring singer K.Michelle revealed she was in an abusive relationship with hit producer Memphitz .He dangled that over her head and she sold her soul to the devil for the possible chance to become a star. So after walking away she still had to fight because no one believed her. Memphitz denies her allegation as well as his wife Toya ( Lil Wayne's ex wife ) I thought it was courageous of K.Michelle to reveal such a personal side of life to the public since we know plenty of battered women never tell or don't live to tell.

We watched Rasheeda and Kirk try to juggle marriage, parenting and career and on the outside looking in it appeared the couple had the perfect life. What cameras revealed was a struggling marriage that was in turmoil due to life stressors and in a society where people quickly turn to divorce as a solution, the couple took stock of the relationship and decided their marriage was MORE important than fame.

We saw a very vulnerable Benzino look for love and when he met aspiring singer Karlie, he thought it was a match made in heaven but unbeknownst to him she had her eyes on the prize and it wasn't him, it was what he could do for her. He believed he was in love and thought they could work on forever as a powerful couple. Reality set in and he removed those rose tinted glasses and ended the relationship.

Overall as many complained that this show like many other reality shows displayed African Americans in a poor light. I felt that although they decided to live out in the public's eye they all were unique and had a different quality.

I saw they all had different issues that they had to handle as well as personal demons to conquer as well. What we can learn from this show is that we ALL have problems and even though many would not admit they could easily identify with these people.

Many judged this cast but many lived a similar life minus the glitz and glam. Infedelity, Domestic Violence, Mental Abuse, Marriage, Lies and Betrayal are all things we have experienced at some point in time.

This show depicted real life and real emotions and although many didn't agree how they handled particular situations it was a glimpse into their lives dysfunctional and raw.

How Many Times...

How many times have you made excuses for someone else's toxic behavior? Whether it was a significant other or a friend

Too many times we as people allow the okey doke to occur. We should be demanding respect POINT BLANK PERIOD!

The cardinal rule is to treat people exactly how you want to be treated but for reasons unknown people cant seem to adhere.

A person can only treat you bad if YOU allow it. I've had my share of unhealthy ones family included, but if you don't set boundaries, then you cannot possibly expect to be treated well.

People come into our lives for a reason, season or a lifetime. Problem is we tend to try to keep seasonal people around for a lifetime and vice versa.

As humans we are not always going to get along with one another. If problems arise as an adult both parties should attempt to find resolve, but if resolve cannot be obtained and you know you have tried it is ok to close the door and keep it moving. That's called closure and is a part of life.

Time waits for no one and life is too short for it to be filled with people not adding on to your existence but instead taking away. So rid yourself of toxic people.

Urban Literary Community or Hood Booger Publishing as I call it,is so damn disgusting to me.

Never in my life have I come across so many ruthless and selfish people. Everyone is so afraid to help the next one because of fear that person might become a literary success.

Never have I come across a online community that have so many issues that need to be addressed by a physician and medication because they start these mini revolutions and once confronted on the drama they caused, they run or start pointing fingers.

Never have I seen a bunch of people hate on the next all day everyday via the emails, inbox and phone calls then the next day hugged up or professing this so called love they have for that said person.

Never have I seen a community of people where if they have a problem with someone they actually confront that person, instead they use social media to issue a bunch of subliminal messages instead of effectively communicating with the one who wronged you.

Never have I seen a community where a bully can attack so many and everyone sit back and say nothing but yet gossip about to everyone about it.

Never have I seen a group of haters that lack support and form a bunch of groups to assist them in spreading hate.

Never have I seen people be given props for the good they do but let them make a mistake they are judged and ridiculed.

Never have I seen a community filled with so many that don't take pride in their work and release all these error filled books thinking that editors aren't always necessary or even  learning the business of publishing.

Bottom line is that this literary community has no loyalty.

Ok I amjust shaking my head and even when I attempt to stop shaking my head,media releases more info that makes me confused as to do I want tolaugh or cry...SERIOUSLY!

Before I gooff into my commentary I would like to say that domestic violence isVERY serious and it is NEVER ok to hit another person. I do not givea damn if your name is OJ Simpson, Chris Brown,Floyd Mayweather,Memphitz or Chad Johnson.

These malecelebs are beginning to really feel themselves thinking they areinvincible. let me say this a REAL man would NEVER put his hands on awomen! #dropsmic

Anyhoo backto Chad and Evelyn nonsense...

8/11~Thecouple was on their way home from dinner when Evelyn found a condomreceipt in the car and this triggered what I can only imagine a VERYheated debate/argument that ended with Chad headbutting Evelyn, herfleeing out the car to a neighbor's house where she called 911.

Evelyn wasseen at the hospital and treated for a head laceration and releasedwhereas Chad was arrested and held on a $2500 bail.

8/12~Here'swhen the plot thickened...lol The Miami Dolphins got wind of Chad'sincident and said they had no comment and later on fired Chad fromthe Dolphins...Now you know you gotta be a dumb-ass to get fired onyour day off! Lmaooooo!!

8/13~As ifthat wasn’t bad, VHI pulled the curtain and the Chad & EvelynReality Show, so that was goodbye to all that reality TV camera time( You know they are 2 media whores) and money.

Evelynreleases a statement saying Domestic Violence is not OK and she hopesChad gets help for his issues.

8/14~Evelyn'sBrother in law Anthony loses his battle to cancer. #RIP

Evelynfiles for divorce and arrest records surface that Chad was convictedof domestic battery back in 2000.

Chadreleased a statement via his website-

"Iwould like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that haveoccurred. I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never sayanything bad about her because I truly love her to death,"Johnson said
"Iwill continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunityin the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, youhave my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get throughthis tough period in my life."

BeverlyShiner, a woman from Boston breaks her silence and comes forwardstating that she and Chad were creeping from January to May. Mind youthey got married on 7/4...Tsssssssk

It trulysucks to be the both of them right now because they both are crying(for different reasons), wishing this was one big bad dream.
